Fellow Dolphins,
It is three years since we last gathered for the annual Presidents Day, having lost our 2020 fixture to the pandemic and the 2021 fixture to a damp weekend during an otherwise wonderful English Summer. The year’s match is scheduled for Sunday 17 July - and I am delighted to let you know it will take place at Rothamsted Park (Lower Pitch), in what I hope is the first step toward a return ‘home’ for the Dolphins.
The match will start at 11:30 and shall be a limited overs affair of 35 overs per side, with a tea between innings. After conclusion of the cricket, you are all invited to my house for food and refreshments, and to catch up with friends old and new. I look forward to seeing as many of the Dolphins family as possible during the course of the day - you and your families are welcome at any stage during the match and, of course, post-match for what I hope will be a warm evening in my garden!
To help Sarah and I with catering for the cricket tea and the food in the evening please let me know if you are intending on coming to the match and/or to the post-match social gathering.
